Apprentice (A Class) - Ms. Helen Hsieh
About Me: I received my Bachelor of Music degree from California State University, Fullerton. My main focus was on Harp Performance and Piano Pedagogy. I received my Master of Art in Music Education from California State University, Los Angeles. In addition, I attended Eastman School of Music to achieve my post graduate studies. I also completed all Orff and Kodaly Teaching Methods. I began playing as a piano accompanist for a choral at the age of 14, started teaching piano and harp at the age of 17, and conducted choirs at the age of 18. I have taught and conducted in various groups and institutions, including the Logan Elementary School in Los Angeles, California; Water of Life Christian School in Fontana, California; Eastman Community Music School in Rochester, New York; Brighton Reformed Church Choir in Rochester, New York; Taiwanese Bible Study Choir in Rochester, New York; YAMAHA music school; The Music Store; and East Valley Children's Choir. My passion is to inspire children and young students to love and learn music, and to help them develop confidence throughout the learning process.

Junior (B Class) - Ms. Emily Chao
About Me: Dr. Emily Chao is an active pianist, chamber musician and conductor. Selected by National Taiwan Youth Orchestra at age 15, she toured Austria, Romania, France, Hungary, Canada and United States and performed in the major venues such as Golden Hall in Vienna, and Lincoln Center. She earned her bachelor degree from Taipei National University of Arts and a master degree from Indiana University. In Indiana University, she was appointed to accompany conducting class and many studios, including the studio of renowned cellist Janos Starker, Alex Kerr, James Campbell and Daniel Perantoni. She had the privilege of studying with legendary teacher, Ann Schein, André De Groote and Evelyne Brancart. Graduated from University of Southern California, Emily studied with Antoinette Perry, Larry Livingston, Sharon Lavery, Thomas Mason and David Arnay. She not only extended her piano repertoire but also focusing on conducting and jazz studies. Aside from being a performing artist, Emily has more than 10 years of teaching experience. She enjoys conducting children’s choir and teaching private piano lesson. Her goal is to promote music in the community.
