Attendance Policy
If for any reason there is an emergency absence, please call the choir phone number (909) 345-0081. Otherwise, please come to the secretary prior to your child’s absence to fill out an absence form. You may also download the form in the link below and hand it to the secretary during any regular class times.
EVCC Attendance Policy
1. Attendance will be taken at every class session, rehearsal and performance. If a class session must be missed, parent/guardian should go to the secretary and
fill out an absence form a week before the absence and orally inform the class instructor.
If an illness or emergency occurs the day of a rehearsal or performance, please call (909) 345-5432 to leave a message and fill out an absence form the
following week that student returns.
2. Students having 3 excused absences in each choir semester are not allowed to perform in the Christmas Concert or Annual Concert. In order to receive a Perfect
Attendance Award, students may not exceed 3 absences for the entire school year.
3. Students missing 2 class sessions during the month prior to the Christmas Concert or the Annual Concert, or the final rehearsal before a concert, are not allowed
to perform in the concert.
4. Absences consist of missing rehearsals and performance or of being late or leaving early three times.
One absence equates to one of the following:
*Missing a regular rehearsal with an absence form filled out
*Missing a performance
*Being late and/or leaving early three times
5. Two unexcused absences (without an absent form filled) within a semester will result in being put on probationary status.
***Three unexcused absences may result in being dismissed from the choir.
