Chamber Choir (Class D)

Age: 14-18 years old, 9th through 12th grade
Chamber Choir group is a highly skilled vocal ensemble requiring Bel Canto (beautiful singing) vocal training and skills, as well as stage presentation. This is also an audition only group. The Chamber Choir consists of a small group of selected singers. These singers are selected based on many factors, including the overall musical ability and the ability to vocally blend with the entire unity. Chamber choir members place emphasis on musicianship and vocal technique, as well as theory.

A large percentage of the Chamber Singer repertoire is sung in foreign languages. Some songs are sung without accompaniment. The Chamber choir gives frequent community performances in addition to the annual and Christmas concerts. Each member of the Chamber choir is automatically a member of the Concert Choir. Chamber choir members rehearse together for 2 hours each week.
